PLEASE, DON'T GO!!!

News outlets are reporting that Pete Carroll might leave the Trojans for the Seatle Seahawks. I hope that this isn't true (these rumors are an annual tradition after all). He won't get the patience, love, stability or longevity that he's sure to have at USC from any NFL team.

Gun Play

Gilbert Arenas has been suspended indefinitely by David Stern and the NBA in response to all of the reports of his (playfull) gun incident in the Wizards locker room. Arenas has yet to find out his fate from law enforcement as it is illigal to possess even an unloaded gun in D.C. David Stern said in a statement announcing the suspension:

“Although it is clear that the actions of Mr. Arenas will ultimately result
in a substantial suspension, and perhaps worse, his ongoing conduct has led me
to conclude that he is not currently fit to take the court in an NBA game,
Accordingly, I am suspending Mr. Arenas indefinitely, without pay, effective
immediately pending the completion of the investigation by the NBA.”

Bynum big in Lakers Win

Last night the Lakers won another close game, this time behind the 4th quarter dominance of Andrew Bynum. All of his low post moves were on display against Landry, Scola and the other Houston bigs. It is a testament to the skill and ability of Pau Gasol that when he is playing there just arent enough low post possessions to really focus on Bynum. I cant think of any better low post players than Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol that are currently in the league. Here's hoping that Pau is back quickly, even though its a lot of fun to watch 'Drew dominate with his back to the basket or facing up.

Lebron Knicks Shoes

Supposedly these are leaks of new Lebrons coming to the market sometime in the second half of this year. Various Ohio newspapers are coming out saying that these shoes are not official releases. If these are fakes they are well done. Anyway I find this completely hilarious! Goodluck on keeping him around Ohio.
