Man that was a great day for sports. Kobe and the Lakers played beautifully. Andrew Bynum played good defense but still didn't get any court time in the fourth quarter. I'm starting to be pretty frustrated with some of Phil's substitutions, Fisher is a step slow to be guarding Billups (and he can't hit a shot), where has Josh Powell been, no Bynum in 4th even though they keep getting easy layups and dunks. Anyway Lakers could easily be up 3-0 in this series but also down 1-2. We got another game comin up.

This round of the playoffs has definitely been entertaining so far, the Magic (especially Rashard Lewis) played :01 second of horrible defense to help the legend of Lebron James grow. He hit a great shot but they really should be down 0-2 in this series right now.

KOBE! KOBE! KOBE!

Lakers won game 1 of the WCF 105-103. The team shot pretty bad for two pointers but 1's and 3's won the game for them. If Denver had a better game from the line this could be a whole different story. Kobe dominated the fourth with defenders trying to share his uniform with him. Pau and 'Drew need more touches and less fouls next go round. Overall it was a great game to watch.

I need better friends!

My parents will be at today's Western Conference finals game 1, 12 rows behind the Laker bench. What does this have to do with my friends you ask? Well they got these tix for free from a couple they know who's anniversary is tonight and doesn't want to go. If it was me I'd probably say "Baby we'll celebrate tomorrow" and still go. Lucky for them he's giving in to the wife. Game should be great, hopefully the Lakers only having a day off will work to their advantage. Let's Go LAKERS!!!

That was a huge improvement over Thursdays embarassing defeat to the Rockets (Red Glare). Trevor Ariza set the defensive tone (as is his usual role) for this game early, jumping passing lanes and just really playing with high energy. Pau was dominant in scoring 21 with 18 rebounds, mostly done while scowling or screaming. Andrew Bynum played by far his best post-season game, especially on the defensive end, he looked patient and under control (very happy to see that). And Kobe was Kobe. Lakers won 89-70. 8 MORE TO GO!

Speaking of which if you haven't seen "Kobe: Doin Work" watch it. It's very entertaining, enlightening and cinematic. My wife loved the movie, it showed her a fuller picture of the game as well as some insight into how it's played by the pros. I truely enjoyed watching her watch the movie, maybe she'll be more of a fan now.
