LAKERS!

The defending champion LA Lakers opened the preseason last night with an impressive win that showed off the new (or improved) players. This team is far better than the team the Lakers had at this time last year. No more pretenders like Vladmir Radmanovic, improved depth with the addition of Shannon Brown and Ron Artest, and plenty to be excited or hopeful about. Bynum looks like hes in great shape and is ready to have a break out year. The point guard ranks are looking good (and healthy), Fisher is ready as ever, Brown and Farmar are serious and focused on contributing. Also Brown had probably one of the years better dunks, even if it is only the first game. Everyone keeps talking about the improved defense and shooting of Adam Morrison. Kobe and Pau are Kobe and Pau, two of the planets best, Kobe is still the best American player around, and Pau has definitely staked his claim as the best non-American player in the NBA with his last two incredible years in international play.

I am ridiculously excited about this season! Go Lakers!
